Auditions will be held on Zoom in 20-minute slots. Auditionees will have a chance to perform a monologue. They will also be paired with a partner for a short cold reading of a scene.

If necessary callbacks will be scheduled according to the actor's availability.

Auditions are open to women (trans and cis), trans men, and non-binary people in the Chicago area. Non-locals will only be considered if they could reasonably spend at least the last few weeks in Chicago.

Revenge in Thebes is based on/inspired by The Bacchae by Euripides. It has classical stylized language typical of the era, and features classical Greek characters, but is a modern feminist version that focuses more on the women in the original play.

Rehearsals will be held online until the shelter-in-place order is rescinded and it is safe to do so. The performance is tentatively scheduled for the last two weekends in July, location TBA. It will also be live-streamed if possible, in order to be accessible.

The cast will receive a percentage of ticket sales and assuming that fundraising is successful, a flat stipend.
