Griffin Theatre is looking for an understudy to immediately start for the role of MLIMA in Mlima's Tale by Lynn Nottage, Directed by Jerrell L. Henderson.

Mlima is a magnificent elephant trapped by the underground international ivory market. As he follows a trail littered by a history of greed, Mlima takes us on a journey through memory, fear, tradition, and the penumbra between want and need.

Seeking:
MLIMA- (he/him) Black. An African bull elephant. His name means "the mountain." Old and clever, a wanderer, a warrior. Hunted for his majestic tusks. Ageless. Does not double.

Pay: $125 Stipend and an additional $50 total pay that would cover their performance or performances over one weekend.

Time Commitment:

Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, Feb 20, 21, 22, - Previews at 7:30pm
Sunday, Feb 23, 2020 - Opening at 7pm
Saturday, March 21, 2020 - Close
Sunday, March 22, 2020 - Strike
Performances - Thursday, Friday & Saturday at 7:30pm. Sunday at 3:00pm
Additional Performance on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 7:30pm
Show performs at Raven Theatre.
