Folks Operetta
Fairytale at the Grand Hotel

Pay: Yes

Description:

Folks Operetta is seeking musical theater/opera singers, actors and dancers for its upcoming production of Fairytale at the Grand Hotel, by Paul Abraham. This will be the American Premiere. Anthony Barrese will conduct the 15-piece orchestra.

Set in the Grand Hotel in Cannes, the show follows the travails of the exiled Spanish Infanta Isabella, who has taken up residency there with her retinue, including her fiance, Prince Andreas. Sam MacIintosh, a Hollywood producer, has sent his daughter Marylou to the Côte d'Azur to seek out European nobility to put in a film, and to find some juicy subject matter. She discovers that a lovesick waiter named Albert has fallen in love with the Infanta, and his unrequited love soon becomes just the subject that Marylou is looking for. Meanwhile, the web becomes even more tangled when Marylou has an affair with the dim-witted Prince Andreas. In Fairytale at the Grand Hotel, Hollywood collides with the European aristocracy - with all the high jinx and humor that can only be found in operetta!

We are seeking singers of all ethnicities and genders.
