Now entering its eighth season presenting outdoor Shakespeare in partnership with Chicago Park District, Midsommer Flight is seeking actors and musicians for their summer production, THE TEMPEST, directed by Producing Artistic Director Beth Wolf. Spend your summer outdoors and be a part of "Chicago summer entertainment at its finest" (Chicago Stage Standard).
As Midsommer Flight performs in diverse communities, we would like our cast to mirror the beauty of the neighborhoods that we perform in. Therefore, we encourage actors of all backgrounds to audition.
Rehearsals begin on Tuesday, May 28th and run Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturdays during the day. Tech is Monday, July 1st through Friday, July 5th. (Wednesday and Friday are daytime tech days) There will be no rehearsal on Thursday, July 4th.
Performances run July 6 - August 25, Saturdays at 6pm and Sundays at 2pm, at four Chicago park locations.
