The beloved American holiday classic, It's a Wonderful Life, comes to captivating life as a live 1940s radio broadcast. With the help of an ensemble that brings a few dozen characters to the stage, the story of idealistic George Bailey unfolds as he considers ending his life one fateful Christmas Eve.

The director, Regina Reynolds (recent PM&L directing credits include Bad Seed, Uncommon Women and Others, and Censored on Final Approach), is looking to cast 4 male voice parts and 3 female voice parts. Two possible Foley (sound effects) artists are also needed. Actors wishing to audition will be reading from the script using a variety of voices as they change from one character to another.

in addition, a small group of carolers will be auditioning to sing Winter Holiday songs. The director is looking for both adults and youth performers for the costumed caroling group. They will sing during the radio play and will have three performances in downtown Antioch, IL area by the Kris Kingle display. The town engagements will be Saturday afternoons December 1st, 8th, & 15th.

Singing auditions will start at 7:00 pm. Voice parts for radio roles will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 pm.

PM&L is a non-profit, community-based volunteer organization located in historical downtown Antioch, IL. We are proud of our open auditions policy.
