Rail Events Productions announces auditions for THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride; a live, interactive event based on the film by Warner Bros.
Seeking: Actors and Singers to portray various roles (see Character Breakdown)
Job Location: Union Station, Chicago, IL
Casting Authority: Mike May, Producer and Scott Calcagno, Director
Character Breakdown:
Conductor: m, 35-50, charming, outgoing, personable, big presence, non-singing
Santa: m character actor, 40+, warm, sincere, full of real joy, non-singing
Hobo: m, 25-35, high-energy, assertive, gruff, imposing but masks a joyful heart. Light singalong carol singing required.
Ensemble: m/f, 20-35, singer/actors for various roles & duties, outgoing, joy-filled, team players!
Hero Boy: 9 to 12 years old, all ethnicities male. 5'3" or under, sincere & kind, albeit a bit skeptical, non-singing.
Rehearsals: (Rehearsals on north side of Chicago)
Nov. 24-Nov. 27: 3-10 pm
Nov. 28-29: 10am-10pm (Tech on train)
Nov. 30: Daytime Rehearsal TBD
Performances: Daily, from Nov. 30, 2018 through Jan 1, 2019.
* Although actors will not perform everyday, we are seeking actors with total availability.
All performances take place at Union Station in Chicago.
