Description:

The City of Elgin is excited to announce that it will be partnering with point2productions, a division of Schaumburg on Stage, to present the 2018 Elgin Summer Theater production of SISTER ACT.

Sister Act is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony- and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. Filled with powerful gospel music, outrageous dancing and a truly moving story, Sister Act will leave audiences breathless. A sparkling tribute to the universal power of friendship, Sister Act is reason to REJOICE!

Brian has been involved in community and youth theater productions for more than 14 years and has directed over 17 productions including Mary Poppins and Cheaper by the Dozen for WMC Productions in Warrenville, as well as Into the Woods, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz and Shrek for the St. John's Players in Streamwood.
