Seeking EXTRAS to fill out the town hall scene in Robert Fall's adaptation of Insen's AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE
Goodman Theatre is seeking submissions from actors (All Gender Identities, Open Ethnicity, Must be 18+) who would be interested in participating as an extra in our production of AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE. Extras will help create and enhance the world of the play. They will participate in a crowd scene and may be asked to ad-lib amongst the group.
Rehearsal/Tech Pay: $15/per call Performance Pay: $15/per performance in which the extra signs-up and appears
Rehearsal Requirements:
-Extras must attend one rehearsal in the rehearsal room the week prior to tech. (Saturday, March 3rd, specific time, TBD but likely 10:00am-12:00pm)
-Extras must attend the final tech rehearsal and the dress performance. (Friday, March 9: Call for Tech 2:00p-5:30pm and a then an evening call for the dress performance - exact time, TBD)
Performance Requirement:
-At minimum, Extras must be willing to commit to TEN performances to be considered for hire. These performances are as selected BY THE ACTOR via an online sign-up form. There is no maximum number in which you can attend, but sign-up for particular dates are first come, first served. We have a total of 47 performances. (Previews begin 3/10/18, Opens on 3/19/18 and run until 4/22/18)
-We are suspecting extras will have a call time of one hour after curtain. For example, an 8:00pm curtain would have an extras call time of 9:00pm. We estimate it will take about 75 minutes of your time from sign- in to sign-out. You may be released after the scene. No curtain call will be asked of extras. Additional Information:
-Extras will not be formally costumed, we will have a simple wardrobe guideline in which we would ask our extras to follow. Extras will be asked to wear black pulled from their own wardrobe.
