Auditions for Jean Shepherd's A Christmas Story, adapted by Philip Grecian and presented by PM&L Theatre, will be held on Sunday, October 22nd, for children, ages 5-15, and Monday, October 23rd, for adults. Both nights will begin at 7 pm. Callbacks for both children and adults will be Wednesday, October 25th. Please arrive a few minutes early to fill out an audition form. Auditioners will be cold-reading from the script.

Auditions will be held at PM&L Theatre, located at 877 Main Street in Antioch, IL.

The director, Tom Hausman (Oliver!, All My Sons), is looking to cast 19 actors, plus extras, including children.

Jean Shepherd's memoir of growing up during the 1940's tells the tale of 9-year- old Ralphie, whose sole desire is to get a Red Ryder BB Gun for Christmas. All he ever hears in response is "You'll shoot your eye out!" from his parents, teachers, and even Santa. Based on the beloved motion picture, A Christmas Story is sure to become your holiday theatrical tradition.
