Classical Theatre Project will be holding auditions September 27-28 for a touring production of Hair that will begin rehearsals and production in late 2013- early 2014.

HAIR casting breakdown

NOTE:  ALL PERFORMERS WILL BE REQUIRED TO PLAY AN INSTRUMENT DURING PERFORMANCES.

ACTORS WHO ARE CALLED BACK WILL BE REQUIRED TO DEMONSTRATE THEIR INSTRUMENTAL ABILITIES, IN ADDITION TO THEIR VOCAL ABILITIES. 

SELF-ACCOMPANIMENT IS ACCEPTABLE.

DAY ONE:  OPEN DANCE CALL

Book a 45-minute slot.

Actors will be required to learn a brief combination from HAIR, led by choreographer Stephanie Ramphos Galpern.  Actors who are called-back will be informed immediately following the dance audition.

Bring clothing appropriate for a dance audition and water.

DAY TWO: CALLBACK SINGING/INSTRUMENTAL CALL.

Book a 10-minute slot.

Call-backs are the following day (Saturday) and are by appointment and invitation only.  Actors are required to sing any musical theatre or modern soul/rnb/rock/folk song of their choosing and demonstrate instrumental ability.  No piano accompanist will be provided so actors are required to self-accompany or sing a cappella.

Bring your music and your instrument.

A piano will be in the room.
