"...The cast includes agile Bill Gordon as Bruce McClane, Caitlyn Cerza as his estranged wife Holly Generic, Jenna Steege as her coked-up coworker, Jin Kim as their ill-fated boss Nintendo Nakatomi, Terrance Lamonte Rogers Jr. as Bruce's Twinkie-eating policeman pal, Nate Curlott as an in-your-face FBI agent, Gary Fields as the dapper criminal leader Hans Olo (get it?), Erin Long as his psychotic sidekick Klaus, and Jonathan Allsop as a high-tech safecracker."

Time Out Chicago- Recommended

"...Michael Shepherd Jordan, Alex Garday and Stephanie McCullough have stuffed their script with period references to subjects like shoulder pads, cocaine, Schwarzenegger, Fleetwood Mac and the acting career of Reginald VelJohnson. Too often, pop-culture shoutouts stand in for jokes, but the show gains momentum as it goes along. Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas! isn’t high art, but you probably shouldn’t expect high art from a Die Hard musical parody. Contact-high art will probably do the trick."

"...YIPPEE KI-YAY MERRY CHRISTMAS! is an entertaining tribute to the movie spectacle known as “Die Hard.” Although it was a huge blockbuster in 1988, it doesn’t hold up as an action thriller over time. A fact that Jordan and Garday cleverly exploit for our amusement. This musical parody is chocked full of biting satire. The non-stop funny, bumpy ride will leave you yelling “Yippee Ki-Yay, mo….” all the way home."

"...Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas is a fun holiday treat that holds audiences hostage, packed to the roof with 80s references. With witty book and lyrics by Michael Shepherd Jordan and Alex Garday and rad music by Stephanie McCullough, the earnest entertainment is the kind to crawl through air ducts for."

Chicago On Stage- Highly Recommended

"...There are some out there (including yours truly) who consider Die Hard one of the quintessential Christmas movies. You know who you are: you watch it every year at this time, cheering on Jack McClane as he single-handedly takes down an entire terrorist cell on his way to seeing his wife and kids for the holidays. What could be more American? What could be more of a statement of love and holiday cheer? Well, a group calling itself Yippee Productions has now put together a musical parody of Die Hard called Yippee Ki-Yay Merry Christmas, and the good news is that it is very funny and clever while being very faithful to the film."

"...To those familiar and a fan of the 1988 cult-like classic “Die Hard,” will definitely get a kick out of this Christmas musical parody, but to those like this writer who haven’t seen the film will enjoy the musical production nonetheless. Regardless, catchy songs will linger in your head days later."
