Twas The Night Before Christmas Reviews
Chicago Reader- Highly Recommended
"...Truth be told, caffeinated and focused at 10 AM as I was, I'm not sure I followed all the twists and turns in this 45-minute North Pole adventure from Emerald City Theatre, which features Jewish elves, mischievous mice, and villainous, rapier-wielding capitalist knights, with a couple of hip-hop numbers for good measure. But the youngest kids in attendance didn't seem to mind the abstruse plotting; rather, they were captivated by the cartoonish, friendly-faced, very watchable group of heroes (Kirra Silver, Alejandro Tey, Nora Lise Ulrey) bumbling their way through Santa's workshop."

"...This is Family Fun with a singalong at the end and will be a theatrical experience for both the parent (or grandparent) as well as the children ( of all ages, well maybe up to 13)"
Chicago Theatre Review- Highly Recommended
"...This is one more entertaining addition to an already full roster of family holiday fare. Parents looking for an intelligent, very funny comedy, filled with physical humor and wild adventure, should look no further than the Broadway Playhouse, where Emerald City’s new production shines like the star at the top of the Christmas tree."
Chicagoland Musical Theatre- Highly Recommended
"...Emerald City Theatre, under the direction of Jacqueline Stone, has taken on this comedy and presents a pleasant way to spend a weekend morning with some of the little ones in your life."

"...The performance itself is 45-minutes long, and this reviewer has never before seen a group filled with a range of ages so engaged for so long. Stone’s ensemble keeps the energy high and works to bring the young people into the story, which is further aided through the comedic script that utilizes a variety of forms."
