The privileged, pot-smoking, teenage slackers who were small children in the '60s have emerged as young adults in a country that has just resoundingly rejected everything they were brought up to believe in. The play follows 24 hours of three lost young souls in the big city: Warren, a 19-year old who steals $15K from his abusive father; Dennis, the charismatic drug-dealing friend who helps him put the money to good use; and Jessica, the anxiously insightful young woman who Warren yearns for. We see the strength and fragility of human connection in the trials and tribulations of these young people. Kenneth Lonergan's This is Our Youth is a living snapshot of the moment between adolescence and adulthood.
