"...Some elements of Medusa work well, like the musical direction by Sam Clapp and the beautifully colorful costumes by Kotryna Hilko. The choreography, also by Roberts, occasionally succeeds, like a silly handshake dance highlighting the awkwardness of social conventions. The overall action would benefit from some well-rehearsed clowning techniques and pantomime to help nail the comic timing."

"...We never discover what Baron Medusa's ruse is or whom he's trying to fool. It's only in retrospect we realize that the work itself is the trap and those who try too hard to make sense of its loopy non-logic are its victims. Those interested in Dada, or theater history in general, or the bracing effect of artful surrealism at a time of real-life creeping craziness, should see this production. It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and a pleasure to boot."

"...Dado’s production is wacky, enjoyable and engagingly diverting. While it’s never actually clear what Baron Medusa’s ruse is supposed to be, the director’s certainly infused this surreal comedy with wit and whimsy. Fortunately she has a talented cast, a terrific support team and the perfect location to bring Erik Satie’s early absurdist comedy to life."
