It's the 1590s and Brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are desperately trying to write a hit play, yet somehow remain stuck in the shadow of a certain Renaissance rock star known as "The Bard." When a local fortune teller proclaims that the future of theatre mixes singing, acting, and dancing all at the same time, the Bottom brothers embark on an adventure to write the world's first musical. Hilarity ensues amidst a scandalous opening night and the realization that to truly reach the top one must remember: "to thine own self be true."
