Sex Tips For Straight Women From A Gay Man Reviews
Chicago Tribune- Recommended
"...This lively commercial attraction, which hopes for a long run in the old Victory Gardens space at Greenhouse Theater Center, is derived from the bestselling how-to book by Dan Anderson and Maggie Berman. As such, it delivers a lovable gay man named Dan (played by Adam Fane), a straight woman named Robyn (Emma Jo Boyden) and a passive character named Stefan (Bradley Allen Meyer) who is probably best described as a male model with an erotic vibe, ready to submit his body to the further education of an audience rather more exuberant than most of the audiences with which I typically surround myself."

"...The Chicago production of off-Broadway’s longest running comedy is a fun, interactive night out with some surprisingly touching, and even useful, takeaways."

"...While this is not a show for everyone, in particular little kids, it is perfect for “ladies night out:, Bachelorette Parties” and perhaps date night ( it may answer some questions that just may help the end of the night). Local actor Adam Fane, who has graced many a Chicago area stage doing smaller roles, for the most part is the main character in this 80 minute play. His character , Dan , is in fact the Gay man who wrote the book. The show starts off as if we are at a seminar where a famous PHD will be talking about the book."
Third Coast Review- Somewhat Recommended
"...Boyden is fun in the formulaic role of Robyn, the uptight academic who secretly lusts for her assistant Stefan (Andrew Cawley). In some cities, reality show personalities have played the role of Robyn and Boyden elevates the farce element with a deft performance. Fane creates an amalgam of fabulous diva characters from Mario Cantone on Sex and the City to Karen (Megan Mullally) on Will and Grace. Fane brings the short-fused comic bursts that create a great man-diva. Cawley got some fangirl hoots as sexy Stefan with malaprops and good physical comedy."
