Jones's production, presented as one part of the five-play PAC Pride Fest, features a number of tender, well-crafted direct-to-audience addresses, including a stirring speech by Kathleen Puls Andrade as an AIDS nurse facing down angry protesters. In another highlight, Nick recalls how he only notices just how filthy he's allowed his bathroom to become while he's stewed in a depressive crisis when he finds himself cowering and sobbing in the shower. Bit by bit, he cleans away the dust and grime— small but critical victory of self-love."

"...Director Brennan T. Jones does solid work with the actors, though sometimes the details he chooses to flesh out give one pause. When describing taking shirtless selfies, I'm not sure it was entirely necessary for one actor to take his shirt off, for example. At other moments, the script has characters describe their actions, and then Jones stages them, repeating what the audience already knows. It creates an odd imbalance, where we learn less from the words than Cash possibly intended."

"...Each actor uses the monologue to create a scene in which other voices are represented. Only in the last few minutes of the play do the three men-Alex, Nick and Barney-meet and carry on a dialogue. Brennan T. Jones' direction results in fine performances by the four actors. Beck and Andrade create particularly appealing characters. Evan Frank's set design and Blake Cordell's lighting create the scenic backdrop of a posh nightclub where pink orchids glow."
