Backed by 25th Ward Alderman Danny Solis, the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and The Mayor's Office, Spectacle Performance and Art Company, Redmoon, will move from their current West Loop location to occupy a 57,000 sq. ft. building at 2120 S. Jefferson in Chicago's Pilsen neighborhood.

The new space furthers the City's hopes of developing Pilsen into a more vibrant cultural district and Redmoon's two-year search for a space massive enough to display its large-scale Spectacle performances and events.

"We welcome the relocation of Redmoon Headquarters to Chicago's emerging cultural hub known as the Cermak Creative Industries District in Pilsen," said Mayor Rahm Emanuel. "Redmoon programming will advance several recommendations of the Chicago Cultural Plan, which include recognizing, supporting and rebranding some neighborhoods as vibrant cultural districts. The relocation of Redmoon will also help the City attract and retain artists and creative professionals in Chicago and maximize the opportunity for residents and visitors to participate in the arts and culture - all of which are priorities of the Cultural Plan."

In its new home, Redmoon will showcase their huge mechanical objects, unique artistic installation environments and scores of performers in a consistent season of large-scale Spectacle programming, in addition to its free outdoor programming throughout the city.

This space will permit close to one thousand patrons to experience Redmoon's large-scale Spectacle productions, for hire events, and community programming throughout the year.

Alderman Danny Solis said of the move, "I'm very enthusiastic about the Redmoon moving into the 25th Ward. This great theater will compliment the already creative, rich communities of Pilsen and Chinatown. It is my hope that the Creative Industry District, where Redmoon serves as a performing arts anchor, will encourage people to contribute to the wards economy. The creative arts district will continue to offer unique creative options as well as valuable partnering opportunities for the community at large."

The enormous "Spectacle Hall" performance space will be christened on March 9th with Spectacle Lunatique, Redmoon's unforgettable party and benefit. For information and tickets, visit www.redmoon.org.
