Experience happily ever after as Broadway In Chicago announced Emerald City Theatre's production of the beloved classic tale CINDERELLA is coming to the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place (175 E. Chestnut St) beginning November 2012.

The holidays have arrived, and with them the anticipated Royal Ball! Cinderella's cruel Stepmother and Stepsisters are plotting to win the heart of The Prince, but a spunky and barefoot servant girl may just become the belle of the ball. This swashbuckling Cinderella just needs a little help from her Fairy Godmother and one ratty Footman to find her happy ending. Emerald City's adaption of this favorite fairy tale is a musical holiday wish come true.

"We are delighted to extend the Emerald City experience at the Broadway Playhouse's downtown location," says Emerald City Theatre's Executive Director Karen Cardarelli. "Michigan Avenue is a perfect location for a holiday family outing - the lights, shopping and a holiday musical. We couldn't find a more perfect location for families."

"Broadway In Chicago and Emerald City Theatre are excited to continue their partnership to present theatrical experiences for expanding young audiences at the intimate Broadway Playhouse, conveniently located in the heart of the Magnificent Mile for families and tourists," says Eileen LaCario, Vice President of Broadway In Chicago.

Alyn Cardarelli (book and lyrics) is the Emerald City co-founder and graduate of Second City Training Center where he attended classes and performed with Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. He has written and produced full orchestral scores for productions of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Hamlet, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King and over a dozen scores for Emerald City Theatre.
