Northlight announces cast for Funnyman & You Can't Take it With You

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, announces casting for the first two productions of its 41st Season.  The season kicks-off with Funnyman, Northlight's fourth world premiere with playwright Bruce Graham (Stella & Lou, The Outgoing Tide, White Guy on the Bus), directed by Artistic Director BJ Jones.  Michael Perez joins the previously announced cast of Tim Kazurinsky, George Wendt, Amanda Drinkall, Steve Haggard and Rob Lindley.

The all-star Chicago cast for Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman's Pulitzer Prize-winning, Depression-era classic You Can't Take it With You, directed by Devon de Mayo, includes Brad Armacost (Paul Sycamore), Jenny Avery (Miriam Kirby), Bernie Balbot (Tony Kirby), Walter Brody (G-Man 2), Lucy Carapetyan (Alice Sycamore), Patrick Clear (Anthony Kirby), Joanne Dubach (Essie Carmichael), Sean Fortunato (Boris Kolenkhov), Kroydell Galima (G-Man 3), Tom Hickey (Wilbur Henderson, G Man), John Judd (Martin Vanderhof), Andy Nagraj (Ed Carmichael), Keith Neagle (Mr. DiPinna), Ericka Ratcliff (Rheba), Hollis Resnik (Gay, Duchess Olga), Samuel Roberson (Donald) and Penny Slusher (Penelope).

Casting for the remainder of the season will be announced at a later date.  The season also includes for Terrence McNally's Tony-nominated play Mothers and Sons, directed by Steve Scott; Richard Strand's Civil War drama Butler, directed by Stuart Carden; and Scott Carter's comedy The Gospel According to Thomas Jefferson, Charles Dickens and Count Leo Tolstoy: Discord, directed by Kimberly Senior.
