Victory Gardens Theater to stream its smash-hit Fun Home

Victory Gardens Theater announces a two-week-only streaming event of its critically acclaimed production of Fun Home from the 2017/18 Season. With music by Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by Lisa Kron, Fun Home will host 12 performances running May 12-24, 2020. Digital admission tickets will provide patrons access to a Vimeo channel on which they can stream the production. Each digital performance will admit 259 patrons, the same number of seats in the Victory Gardens house. Tickets, priced at $20, are now on sale are available online at www.victorygardens.org.

Hailed as one of Broadway's most original musicals and the winner of 5 Tony Awards, Fun Home is a groundbreaking story inspired by Alison Bechdel's best-selling graphic memoir. In this intimate musical, Alison sets out to unravel the many mysteries of her childhood through a series of memories and conversations - from her coming out to her moving journey to acceptance. Gary Griffin (Indecent, Hand to God, Never the Sinner) directed this emotionally charged family drama that The New York Times calls "extraordinary," and "a rare beauty."
