"...Interrobang Theatre Project is revisiting "Here Lies Henry," the company's first production, as part of its 10th anniversary. The production even feels like a throwback to simpler times. The sound design and compositions from Timothy McNulty and lighting design from Michelle E. Benda are straightforward, not putting more on the performance than the essentials the script requires. The effect is a production and performance that beg you to listen. Listen to Sawa's emotional performance. Listen to MacIvor's poetic musings on life. And then, listen to yourself, and reflect."

"...Suspenders, jitters, throwback mustache and all, Sawa delivers a bravura performance as either the worst inspirational comic of all time; a soul in purgatory who keeps blurting out unsavory disclosures involving past awkwardness and possible murder; a pathological liar; or some fiercely winning jumble of all three. You have to hand it to Henry. To be sure, his impromptu eight-part treatise on the art of lying is cogent. His dance rendition of Britney Spears's "Toxic" is graceful. His affection towards the "mother" (a word he can't pronounce without giggling uncontrollably) strikes us as genuine. But he's for sure not well. This becomes all too apparent, if it wasn't already, by the fourth or fifth time he screams out, leering with his entire face, "This is fun!" What is? Talking into the void? Brazen negative pathos? Acting itself?"

"...Ultimately, I never quite warmed up all the way to this show, but I’m landing on that being a matter of personal taste more than anything; it’s certainly not a comment on the quality of the acting. Whatever your feelings on one-man shows in black boxes as a theater device, Sawa’s performance is worth your time."

"...Here Lies Henry pretty much advertises its puzzle-like structure in its title, as the epitaph-like formation puns on the word "lies" while alliterating "here" and "Henry," and it never lets up. Its sometimes rambling nature makes it potentially hard to follow, but that is an issue that MacIvor clearly isn't worried about. He might lose some people along the way, but what he wants to do is to take us all on a mind journey, not just into Henry's life, but into our own as well. Sawa and Elyce do a fine job of fulfilling this goal, making Here Lies Henry into probably the most fascinatingly metaphysical play ever punctuated sporadically by dance breaks."

"...Fellow pandemic prisoners who long for live performance will likely concur that this one-man show doesn’t suffer too much from its pre-recorded format. We do hear the audience quite a bit, sometimes making too much noise. It barely distracts from the FUN!!!!"
