Goodman Latino Theater Festival at Goodman Theatre

Goodman Latino Theater Festival

Goodman Theatre
170 N. Dearborn Street Chicago

In 2003, the Goodman presented its first Latino Theater Festival. Currated by Goodman Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez, the festival featured a lively mix of local, national and international theater companies, bringing their unique styles and traditions to the Goodman’s Owen Theatre for two weeks. The festival was a huge success, attracting an entirely new audience to the Goodman and introducing them to the new facility. The festival continued the following summer with another very successful run, this time including Godinez’ staging of Luis Alfaro’s Electricidad in the Goodman’s Albert Theatre. In August 2006, the Goodman presents its third Latino Theater Festival, continuing its commitment to presenting the finest Latino theater companies from around the world – and from Chicago.
