Lifeline Theatre is accepting video auditions for their upcoming production of Cat's Cradle, based on the novel by Kurt Vonnegut, adapted by John Hildreth, and directed by Heather Currie. This is a non-union production.

About the show:
John Hildreth's adaptation of Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle (1963) is satirical science fiction. Set in the mid-20th century, it tells the story of the creation of a deadly weapon that could destroy the whole world. It satirizes science and technology, the nuclear arms race, and religion.

Available roles/tracks:
Track 2: Bokonon/Announcer/Captain/L. Boyd Johnson (M, 30s, Black/African American)

Track 6: Newt Hoenikker/Corporal McCabe (M/F/NB, 30s, any ethnicity, 4'11" or less)

Track 7: Mr. Crosby/"Papa" Monzano/Bartender/Dr. Felix Hoenikker (M, 50s-60s, White) *UNDERSTUDIES ONLY*

Track 8: Mrs. Minton/Mona/Miss Pefko (F, 20s-30s, Carribbean, open to Black/African American or Latine Actors)

Actors will receive materials upon submission. They will consist of 1-2 sides per track, and a short cut of a favorite childhood song.

Pay: $485 rehearsal stipend, $25 per show
