The Marriott Theatre is looking to connect and reconnect with musical theatre actors throughout Chicagoland. We aren't able to do auditions in-person quite yet, so in the meantime we're going to do things a little different. We are seeking video audition submissions for our remaining 2021 / 2022 season as well as consideration for future productions. Even if you've worked with us before, please consider submitting a video so we know you're still in the area and interested in being back on the boards. Submissions will only be viewed by internal Marriott Theatre staff and production directors. Submissions are open to union and non-union performers.

For the video submissions, please prepare a video (under 3 minutes) that expresses who you are as a musical theatre actor and more importantly as an artist. We understand there is no possible way to fully express your artistic self in three minutes, but we want to get a better sense of how you see yourself, the kind of musical storytelling you gravitate toward, and your unique creative point of view. If you like, this can be a typical submission with any song(s) of your choice. However, this may also be something entirely different. Be as creative as you wish. We hope this is an opportunity for us to get know you better and also reduce the fears typically associated with a general audition. Be creative! You can accompany yourself, sing a cappella, you can use video editing to layer elements if you wish, or simply use your camera phone and sing or dance at any location of your choice. Dance in a park, sing a song while walking on a sidewalk or tell a musical story on a rooftop. We want to get a better sense of who you are now after almost two years away and after a series of world events that have changed all of us forever. We have all been affected and are changed humans and artists. We would like the opportunity to meet you where you are now.

* Up to 3 minutes in length.
* Upload to YouTube or Vimeo and send a link, or use a service like Dropbox or YouSendIt.
* Email your videos or links to casting@marriotttheatre.com.
* Submissions must be received by August 2nd, 2021.
