Inkwell Arts and Learning is seeking actors for THE HAUNTING OF SHERWOOD FOREST an outdoor Walking Play at The Morton Arboretum. Currently seeking BIPOC actors of all ages and genders. Roles are being written for actors hired and will be based on the concept of the descendants of the Robin Hood stories. Seeking several types of actors; those with strong comedic skills, strong classical skill and/or those with stage combat experience.
Initial auditions by video submission. Please show us your favorite, most authentic self. Videos should be no more than 2 minutes in length. Can be one or two pieces, classical/heightened language, or contemporary comic preferred. Submissions accepted through July 31st.
Casting authority: Lara Filip (Producer/AD/Associate Writer), Gaby Labotka (Fight Choreographer/Associate Writer), Becky Keeshin (Casting Coordinator/Associate Writer), Ariel Etana Triunfo (Associate Artistic Director/Writer) and Steve Peebles (Associate Writer).
Pay is a $200 rehearsal stipend and $50 per show.
3-4 days per week (schedule tbd based on cast availability), beginning August 29th. Shows are Saturdays and Sundays at 4 PM, September 25th - October 31st. Show travels over a 1-2 mile walking path, outdoors, through the Arboretum grounds. All rehearsals and performances are at The Morton Arboretum, in Lisle, IL.
