Elgin Summer Theatre
Nunsense

Pay: No Pay

Description:

The Hemmens Cultural Center and Up and Coming Theatre Company are happy to announce that this summer, Elgin Summer Theatre (EST) will present an outdoor version of the hit comedy, Nunsense! Performances will take place at the Wing Park Band Shell in Elgin, July 9-11 and 16-18, 2021.

Nunsense is a hilarious, audience interactive show that EST is excited to bring to an outdoor setting. The fresh air and ample space of Wing Park will be home to the Little Sisters of Hoboken this summer. Join the Sisters as they put on a variety show! Come meet Reverend Mother Regina, a former circus performer; Sister Mary Hubert, the Mistress of Novices; a streetwise nun from Brooklyn named Sister Robert Anne; Sister Mary Leo, a novice who is a wannabe ballerina; and the delightfully wacky Sister Mary Amnesia, the nun who lost her memory when a crucifix fell on her head.

Safety is the number one priority this summer. To help plan the rehearsal process and staging of Nunsense, vaccination status may be taken into consideration while casting and all rehearsals and performances will be conducted with CDC guidelines in place.

Time Commitment:

Show times are 7:30pm July 9, 10, 16 and 17 with 3:00pm matinees on July 11 and 18.
