Third Eye Theatre Ensemble
The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace

Pay: Stipend

Description:

Third Eye Theatre Ensemble announces auditions for The Infinite Energy of Ada Lovelace, music by Kamala Sankaram and libretto by Rob Handel. There is pay in the form of a small stipend. We do not provide housing. Seeking classically trained singers for the following roles:

William King-Noel, 1st Earl of Lovelace (tenor)

Charles Babbage, Fellow of the Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge (bass-baritone)

Harriet Beecher Stowe (full lyric soprano)

All roles will be double cast - some of the roles listed above already have one performer cast in the role, and we are seeking a second performer.

Initial auditions will take place via video submission. Callbacks will be held virtually, with a possibility for in-person callbacks to be discussed with each individual.

Time Commitment:

Rehearsals begin in late July. Rehearsals will be a combination of virtual and in-person. Production dates are Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 9/17 through 10/3 at the Edge Theater. The current plan is for the performances to take place live and in person.

Third Eye takes the COVID pandemic seriously and will continue to prioritize the safety of cast, crew, and audience through social distancing and appropriate COVID protocols dictated by the City of Chicago, CDC, and company discretion. We welcome any concerns or questions auditioners may have as we develop our rehearsal protocols.
