Dragonfly Theatre is seeking actors for a virtual world premiere performance of the new play Hard Candy for the BorderLight International Theater and Fringe Festival (Borderlightcle.org).

Actors of size, age and BIPOC actors are strongly encouraged to audition.

Rehearsal and performance are virtual, actors must have a computer (Mac or Windows OS) with multi-core processor (Intel i5 Gen 6 or better) and 4gb RAM (or better), webcam and microphone, and a reliable internet connection.

Characters:
Jesse Weber (Manager, 30's, race flexible, they/them/theirs)

Cassie Hatwood (Phone Sex Operator, 29, pretty, voluptuous, race flexible, she/her/hers)

Dexter Smith (30's, Cassie's former boyfriend, race flexible, he/him/his)

NOTE: Cassie and Dexter must be able to perform together in the same physical space - either a male/female actor couple or vaccinated actors able to perform together in the same space.

Rebecca Stewart (Phone Sex Operator, late 20's, white female, she/her/hers)

Claire Patterson (mid-50's, business owner, race flexible, she/her/hers)

Agnes Barton (Phone Sex Operator, 60-70, race flexible, she/her/hers)

Terra Matteson (Business consultant, late 30's, African American female, she/her/hers)

*Sensitivity warning: this is an adult themed play that has adult language and mild physical violence in the script.

The play takes place entirely online as a series of zoom meetings.

Pay: $25 stipend and an equal cut of the Box Office receipts
