The Dunes Summer Theatre announces non-­Equity auditions for two of its Summer 2021 productions, to be performed on the lawn and outdoor stage of the theater, located at 288 Shady Oak Drive in Michigan City, IN. Scheduled productions include the following:

FOREVER PLAID, music and lyrics by various artists, book by Stuart Ross
Director: Tito Sanchez-­Williams
Music Director: Andrew Flasch

Casting: Male and male-­identified actor/singers of all ethnicities (age range: 18-­25) with excellent vocal and movement skills Rehearsals: May 17 to June 2;; some early rehearsals may be virtual;; in-­person rehearsals will take place on the grounds of the Dunes Theatre

Performances: June 4 to 20, 2021 Auditions: All auditions done virtually;; actors should submit a video with two contrasting musical numbers no more than two minutes in total length

A MIDSUMMER NIGHT"S DREAM by William Shakespeare
Director: Steve Scott

Casting: Seeking actors of all ages, ethnic backgrounds, gender identities, and physical abilities with strong language and comic skills

Rehearsals: June 14 to July 8;; some early rehearsals in May might be virtual;; in-­person rehearsals will take place on the grounds of the Dunes Theatre

Performances: July 9 to 25, 2021

Auditions: All auditions done virtually;; actors should submit a video with two contrasting comic monologues (one from Shakespeare) of three minutes in total length

SALARY FOR BOTH PRODUCTIONS: $100/week for rehearsals, $25/show during performance run
