Description:

Underdog Theatre Company is accepting headshots and resumes for Actors and Director for their upcoming staged reading of THE NORMAL HEART by Larry Kramer, a searing drama about public and private indifference to the AIDS plague and one mans lonely fight to awaken the world to its crisis and follows the character Ned Weeks, a gay activist enraged at the indifference of public officials and the gay community. While trying to save the world from itself, he confronts the personal toll of AIDS when his lover dies of the disease.

Originally produced on Broadway in 1985, this year marks the 35th anniversary of its production.

There are 9 male roles and 1 female role. All roles open except the role of Felix Turner.

Seeking actors for Ned Weeks, Dr. Emma Brookner, Craig Donner/Grady, David/Hiram Keebler, Bruce Niles, Ben Weeks, Tommy Boatwright, Mickey Marcus.

Auditions will be held week of February 6th.

Time Commitment:

Staged reading will be presented week of April 20th.
