Description:

Written by two Chicago-based actors and first performed in the original Kingston Mines Theater in Chicago, Grease became an international phenomenon and the highest-grossing American musical of the 20th century. Set in 1959 at fictional Rydell High School, the story follows ten working-class teenagers as they navigate the complexities of peer pressure, politics, personal core values, and love.

Roles: Seeking eight males and seven females, ages 18 – 30. Seeking one male and one female, age 30+. Performers of all ethnic and racial backgrounds are encouraged to attend.

Auditions will be held at Studio One Theatre, Oakton Community College 1600 East Golf Road, Des Plaines, Il., 60016 (Park in Lot A)

Time Commitment:

Rehearsals are weeknights and some weekend days. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 pm and Sunday at 2:00 pm, April 2 - 19.

Material To Prepare:

Prepare 16 – 32 bars to sing a cappella that show off your voice. If you play guitar, prepare a short piece that shows your skill level. Be prepared to read from the script. Monday, February 3 and Tuesday, February 4, 6 – 9 p.m.
