Writers THeatre Non-AEA General Auditions will be held at Writers Theatre on Thursday, January 30th and Friday, January 31st. On Friday January 31st we will be auditioning Musical Theatre and will provide an accompanist. We ask actors to bring one contemporary monologue and one 32-bar selection from a musical theater piece. We encourage actors to bring hip-hop or rap selections. For auditions on Thursday January 30th, please bring 2, 1-minute contrasting monologues. If you’re unable to attend on Friday but would still like to sing, you can perform a 32-bar selection acapella.
AUDITION DETAILS
Where: Writers Theatre, 325 Tudor Court, Glencoe IL 60022. Auditions will be held in the Green Rehearsal Room. Please sign in at the monitor in the theatre atrium.
When: Auditions will be held from 10am-4:30pm both days. Please note, an accompanist will be provided on January 31st only. If you wish to audition for musical theatre, please submit for a Friday time. If you are unable to schedule a time, the waitlist will begin at 9:30am with our audition monitor. We will do our best to see as many actors as possible, but cannot provide any guarantees.
Pay: Our non-equity payscale ranges from $400-500 per week

You will receive an email confirmation of your date and time. Though we do our best to accommodate as many submissions and preferences as possible, we usually receive more submissions than we have slots to schedule. If it happens that you are not among the few selected, we encourage you to submit your materials again for the next round of generals.
