Towle Theater seeks strong singer/actors for its upcoming Musical Daddy Long Legs by Paul Gordon & John Caird. All ethnicities strongly encouraged to audition. Performance Dates are May 1-3, 8-9, 15-17, 2020. All rehearsals and performances will take place at the Towle Theater in Hammond, IN.

Audition Date: Saturday, February 15 from 10:00am-2:00pm

Audition Location:
Stage 773, 1225 W. Belmont, Chicago, IL 60657. South side of Belmont, between Lakewood and Racine. Located just a few blocks west of the Belmont Red/Brown/Purple stop also accessible via the #77 Belmont bus.

Callbacks and Local Auditions:
Sunday, February 16 at 11:30am local auditions and 12:00pm callbacks at the Towle Theater-5205 Hohman Avenue, Hammond, IN 46320. Attendance at call backs is ideal but not necessary for casting.

Show Description:
A heartwarming Cinderella story about a witty and winsome young woman and her mysterious benefactor, based on the treasured novel that inspired the classic 1955 film. Daddy Long Legs is a beloved tale in the spirit of Jane Austen, The Bronte Sisters and "Downton Abbey." Daddy Long Legs features music and lyrics by Tony Award-nominated composer/lyricist, Paul Gordon (Jane Eyre), and Tony-winning librettist/director, John Caird (Les Miserables), and is a "rags-to-riches" tale of newfound love.

Characters:
Jerusha (Female 20-30) - the oldest orphan in the John Grier Home. Witty and intelligent, received funding for college from an anonymous benefactor whom she dubs Daddy Long Legs. (G3- Bb5)

Jervis (Male 25-35) Jerusha's anonymous benefactor. A shy, highly educated East Coast aristocrat. (G3- G#4)
