Lifeline is seeking one understudy for their upcoming Main Stage production of Middle Passage, co-adapted by David Barr III and Ilesa Duncan and directed by Ilesa Duncan. This is a non-union production.

Auditions will consist of reading sides (provided upon submission) and a short cut of a folk song from African, Afro-Cuban, or African-American culture.

Ensemble#1 U/S: Jackson/Ngonyama/Others: Black, Male Identified, 19-25yrs.
Jackson is Rutherford's older brother, a shining example of goodness and piety, whom Rutherford resents.
Ngonyama, the seeming young African (Allmuseri) tribesman who befriends Rutherford. Quiet and mysterious, very astute

Time Commitment:
Rehearsals: Ongoing
Tech: February 7th-February 13th, 2020
Previews: February 14th-23rd, 2020
Rehearsals continue through the tech/preview weeks
Opening: Monday, February 24th, 2020 @ 7:30pm
Closing: Sunday, April 5th, 2020
Extension: If sales warrant, the run may extend through April 19th, 2020
Thursdays and Fridays at 7:30pm, Saturdays at 4pm & 8pm, and Sundays at 4pm.
