Previous classical-theatre training and/or experience strongly encouraged but not necessary. Stage Combat/Actor Combatant, Physical Theatre, Modern and Contemporary Dance, or Movement training encouraged. Please note that submission does not guarantee an appointment slot.
Our season involves nontraditional, radically queer casting, particularly for the roles of Madame Jewel, Romeo, and Juliet.
(an original adaptation of August Strindberg's Miss Julie; adapted and directed by AccShakes Artistic Director James Anthony)
Inspired by the 1980's dark cabaret and 1920's flair, a new twist on Strindberg's arises through poetry, modern movement, and the magic of a Midsummer's Eve.
Rehearsals and performances are scheduled between mid - April and June 2020.
Tentative first rehearsal: April 21. Tentative show run: Fridays - Sundays, May 29 - June 14. The full details are TBA.
