Synopsis: Two brothers decide at their older brother's funeral that they should get one of their dead brother's paintings into an art museum. How far will they go?
Theater: Theater Wit, 1229 W. Belmont Avenue, Chicago, IL
Compensation: $300-$500 depending on part-to be paid in two equal installments
Needed:
Male-40-55 yrs-Used car salesman who has ideas of grandeur but never gets it right.
Male-35-45yrs-Grade school librarian that is in a rut and happy to be there.
Female-40's-wife of elder male, always sure he is up to something.
Female-40's-wife of younger male, school teacher who's fried from dealing with children and has developed a nervous tick
Male-20's-Over-the-top art enthusiast who hits the bubbly more than he should.
Female-40's-waitress with a million marriages and full of marriage advice. Sassy character.
Female-20's-up and coming art dealer who's a little haughty.
Male-Open age-Prestigious art dealer
All ages are open to audition if you can "look" the age of character.
Auditions:
Nox Arca Theater, 4001 N. Ravenswood, Chicago, IL
January 25th -9:00AM-4:00PM and
January 26th -Noon to 4:00PM
We will give you a specific time to audition within these windows.
Rehearsals:
Begin the week of May 8th. Times and days TBD.
Tech week: June 8
Peformances:
June 18-July 19
Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays 8:00PM -- Call is 6:45PM
Sundays 3:00PM-Call is 1:45PM
Show runs approximately 2 hours.
