Marriott Theatre will hold an open dance call for non-union dancers/singers on Monday, December 9th at the Marriott Theatre Rehearsal Warehouse (1342 Barclay Blvd, Buffalo Grove, 60089) for their upcoming production of Kiss Me, Kate (rehearsal starts 3/5/20, contemplated closing date 5/17/20).
Specifically seeking strong technical dancers for musical theater jazz. Please be warmed up and ready to dance at your call time. Dance call for non-AEA men will take place at 10am, and non-AEA female dancers will be seen at 3:30pm. All transgender and gender non-conforming artists are welcome to come to any call where you feel most comfortable. For AEA auditions, please visit the AEA portal.
Bring one 16 bar song (equivalent to one minute in length) and a second contrasting selection in case the artistic team needs to hear more. Please bring music in your key and an updated H/R. An accompanist will be provided.
Be prepared to do a ballet and a classic theater jazz combination. Please bring ballet shoes and jazz / character heel shoes - no sneakers. Knee pads will be required (there will be knee work).
