The Arts, Culture and Engagement Team at Navy Pier is seeking actors and performers to play various interactive characters at the annual Fifth Third Bank Winter WonderFest. Performers who are comfortable with improvisation, theater for young audiences and strong physical movement are welcome to apply.
Auditions Dates:
Tuesday, October 15 from 1pm-9pm
Wednesday, October 16 from 11am-4pm
Audition Location: The Second City, 1616 N. Wells St, Chicago (Room 207)
Winter WonderFest is Chicago's biggest and best indoor winter playground featuring rides, slides, ice skating, food, beautiful lights, decorations and the village of Winter Wondertown. A holiday tradition for over 15 years, welcoming 200,000 visitors annually. Our characters add to the magic of the fest by creating fun, unique, memorable experiences for visitors of all ages.
Performance commitment is usually during the daytime, with some evenings and weekends. Scheduling varies and is based on role and availability. Performers are paid hourly for all rehearsals and performance time. All job offers are contingent upon successful background and drug screening.
Rehearsals will begin in mid-November. The event officially opens on December 5th, 2019 and continues daily through January 12, 2020. The event is closed on December 25th.
Auditions will consist of character and movement based exercises/games.
