Auditions will be held at the Skokie Theatre, at 7924 Lincoln Avenue, Skokie, IL on Monday October 14 and Tuesday October 15 with CALLBACKS on Tuesday, October 16, 2019.
The role of "Bubbie" will be played by Francine Berk who starred in "Golda's Balcony" that was recently presented at the Skokie Theatre.
Two female actor/singer/dancers...ages 18 to 25.
These two are the two "Bubbettes"....who should not only be strong singers, but strong actors as well as they can play different characters...from stereotypical "airheads" to "older Jewish ladies", etc. They do not need to be strong dancers...though have the ability to do some "dumbed down" choreography, if needed.
One male actor/singer/dancer...age 35 to 50.
This is the on stage "stage manager" who is somewhat of a foil for the Bubbie.
Most likely he will sing in character voice and therefore does not have to have a beautiful voice...just one that is serviceable.
Does not need to be a strong dancer either.
One male actor/singer/keyboard player...age 21 to 35.
This is the "bubbies" nerdy nephew who must be a very strong keyboard player with the ability to sing and be a reasonably decent actor. As the on stage keyboard player, he provides all of the music accompaniment.
March 18 - April 6, 2020 with a possible extension to April 11, 2020 at the Skokie Theatre.
Thursday nights, Friday afternoons, Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons
TBD - approximately March 1 - March 17, 2020 (evenings - could be days for those available)
