Me Too Monologues
Connective Theatre Company, in collaboration with Awakenings

The production: Survivors of sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and gender-based discrimination share their stories in a night of healing, empowerment, and empathy. A collaboration between Awakenings and Connective Theatre Company.

The process: This production will consist of writing workshops led by Jeri Frederickson of Awakenings Sept 18-Oct 5, where participants will develop written pieces about their experiences with sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and gender-based discrimination. Rehearsals of the written pieces will be led by Connective Theatre Company ensemble members Leah Huskey and Lena Romano Oct 9-23. The pieces will be performed Oct 24-26. All rehearsals and performances will be held at Awakenings (4001 N Ravenswood Ave, Chicago, IL 60613).

Submissions: We are looking for actors, writers, public speakers, and anyone who has a story to tell. Please click the "Me Too Monologues Submission Form" link and fill it out before Sept 8 to be considered for the project. All submissions will be considered regardless of race, ethnicity, nationality, gender expression, sexuality, age, or ability.
