Seeking all Actors with strong singing ability for specific parts (see below) in Open Wide, a new sung play by Jenny Magnus.

Curious Theatre Branch and Prop Thtr both are interested in seeing all performers who can sing and accommodate the schedule, regardless of background, identity, physical or social position or age.

The Patient: any age, female, must be able to sing in unusual time signatures, does not have to read music.

Dr. Tina: 30-60, female, must be able to sing in unusual time signatures, does not have to read music.

The Receptionist: 20-30, male, must be able to sing in unusual time signatures, does not have to read music.

Open Wide is a new sung play about a patient, her dentist, and the young receptionist who encounters them both. Entirely sung to a soundtrack of electronic music, Open Wide explores ideas of vulnerability, consent, violence, and the illusion of control. Written, composed, and directed by Jenny Magnus, this show will be premiered in the EATS Festival (exploring the intersection between electronics, art, theater, and sound), co-sponsored by the Experimental Sound Studio and Prop Thtr in June 2019.
