Stages Performing Arts is seeking female musical theater performers with immediate availability to join our team of professional teaching artists. Initial responsibilities include performing at Birthday Parties in and around the Chicagoland Area as subbing for our Broadway themed classes with the potential of being added to our weekly teaching rotation after the first of the year. Ideal candidates are experienced musical theatre performers who have worked and/or regularly interacted with infants, toddlers, and young children. Knowledge of child development is a plus! General Weekend Availability (10am-5pm) is required.

Stages Performing Arts was founded in 2016 by Emily Pinas who holds a B.M. in Music Theatre from NYU Steinhardt and a M.S. in Child Development from Erikson Institute. Stages is dedicated to bringing the highest quality, developmentally appropriate performing arts experiences to Chicago area families. Starting pay is $25/class and $40/party. Training (approx. 3-5hrs) and onsite rehearsals are also compensated.

Candidates should submit a theatrical resume and professional/teaching resume (if available) to emily@stageschicago.com. If a teaching resume is not available, please include a brief description of any previous experience you have had with children in the body of your email. Links to performance videos or reels are also appreciated. Qualified candidates will be contacted to set-up an audition appointment for either Thursday, October 18th in the afternoon or Saturday, October 20th in the late morning (please state your preference in your submission email). Callbacks will take place the week of October 22 and paid training will occur the week of October 29 or November 5. Some weekday availability will be required for training.
