About the play:
A story about the Underworld, what we find there, and how we find our way back. UNDERWORLD ANTHEM uses a collection of poetry by Alexandra Ranieri loosely following the story of Orpheus and Euridyce as a base text for an ensemble-devised piece. Over a two-month process, actors will be guided through ensemble-building, improvisation, and movement activities to explore different ways of bringing these poems and this story to life, culminating in an original ensemble-devised production.

Rehearsals: Three weeknights per week based on cast availability from mid-November to mid-December. Then, Monday-Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons from mid-December to mid-January, with breaks for and around major holidays. Rehearsals will be in North Center/Andersonville
