Seeking diverse Male, Female, and Gender Expansive Actors/Singers for 2019/2020 season. Unless noted due to script requirements, actors of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, and disabilities will be fully and fairly considered for all roles and are encouraged to audition for said roles.

And Then There Were None - 1st Possible Rehearsal 6/17/19. 1st Performance 7/12/19. Contemplated Closing 9/1/19.

The Color Purple (2015 Revival) - 1st Possible Rehearsal 8/19/19. 1st Performance 9/13/19. Contemplated Closing 11/3/19.

Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins - 1st Possible Rehearsal 10/21/19. 1st Performance 11/15/19. Contemplated Closing 1/19/20.

An American In Paris - 1st Possible Rehearsal 1/6/20. 1st Performance 1/31/20. Contemplated Closing 3/29/20.

MISS TRUNCHBULL (Male Identified, 30s-40s) - Wicked Head School Mistress. Over 6' a plus. Physical character actor. High baritone. Dialect - Heightened RP.

MISS HONEY (Female Identified, 25-35) - Matilda's timid yet encouraging (almost in a young motherly way) school teacher. Soprano up to Bb, with strong belt up to D. Lyrical, pure-sounding voice. Could have a slight folksy quality. Dialect - RP

MR. WORMWOOD (Male Identified, 30s-early 40s) - Matilda's father. A mean "crook" car dealer. Should be agile. Despises Matilda. Tenor. Dialect - Essex/Estuary/East London

MRS. WORMWOOD (Female Identified, 30s) - Matilda's mother. Obsessed with her looks and her amateur ballroom dancing partner. Thinks very little of Matilda. Strong comedy. Strong belt up to top F/G. Dialect - Essex/Estuary/East London. Must be intermediate mover.

MRS. PHELPS (Female Identified, 30s-50s) - Warm and nurturing local librarian who encourages Matilda's love of reading. She has an inner peace. Diverse casting preferred.

THOMAS ROGERS (Male Identified) - Competent middle-aged manservant. Not a butler, but a house-parlor man. Quick and deft. A trifle specious and shifty.

MRS. ROGERS (Female Identified) - Worried, frightened-looking woman. Cook and wife of Thomas Rogers.

FRED NARRACOTT (Male Identified) - House servant/handy man.

VERA CLAYTHORNE (Female Identified) - Attractive, 25. Secretary for Mrs. Owen.

CAPTAIN PHILLIP LOMBARD (Male Identified) - Attractive, 34. Well-tanned, with a touch of adventure about him.

ANTHONY MARSTON (Male Identified) - Good-looking, young (23 or so), rich, spoiled - not very intelligent.

WILLIAM BLORE (Male Identified) - Middle-aged, wearing rather loud clothes and giving his impression of a gold magnate. His eyes dart about, making notes of everything.

GENERAL MACKENZIE (Male Identified) - Upright soldierly old man with a gentle, tired face.

MISS EMILY BRENT (Female Identified) - Spinster with a disagreeable, suspicious face.

JUDGE WARGRAVE (Male Identified) - Middle-aged, retired justice. Deceptively reserved.

DR. ARMSTRONG (Male Identified) - Fussy, good-looking, 44. Looks rather tired.

SHUG AVERY (Female Identified) - Mister's long-time love, a singer who lives in Memphis.

MARY POPPINS (Female Identified, 20s-early 30s) - Jane and Michael Banks's new nanny. Extraordinary and strange, neat and tidy, delightfully vain yet particular, and sometimes a little frightening but always exciting. Mezzo soprano with strong top notes (Gb3-C6). Some movement required.

BERT (Male Identified, 30s) - Narrator and good friend to Mary. An everyman, he is a charming song-and-dance man with a Cockney accent. B2-F#4

GEORGE BANKS (Male Identified, 40s) - Father to Jane and Michael, a banker to the very fiber of his being. Bb2-Eb4

WINIFRED BANKS (Female Identified, 30s-40s) - George's wife and mother of Jane and Michael. Has great warmth while being conflicted with her duty to society (and husband) and her great love for her children. A3-D5

MRS. BRILL (Female Identified, 50s) - Housekeeper and cook for the Banks family. F#3-D#5 ROBERTSON AY (Male Identified, 20s) - Houseboy to the Banks family. Lazy, sleepy, and grumbling. F3-G#4

ADMIRAL BOOM/BANK CHAIRMAN (Male Identified, 50s) - Character actor doubling in these roles. Boom is a retired Royal Navy man and neighbor to the Banks family. Loud and booming. Baritone

QUEEN VICTORIA/MISS SMYTHE/MISS ANDREW (Female Identified, 40s) - Character actress doubling in these roles. Miss Andrew is George's overbearing and scary nanny.

BIRD WOMAN (Female Identified, 40s-50s) - Poor woman who tries to sell her crumbs to passersby who ignore her as if she doesn't exist. Sings "Feed the Birds." Gb3-C5

AN AMERICAN IN PARIS
A SEPARATE DANCE CALL WILL BE HELD LATER IN THE SEASON FOR THIS PRODUCTION.

JERRY MULLIGAN (Male Identified, 20s) - A Midwestern painter studying in Paris on the GI bill. Charming, ambitious, callow. Must be an excellent ballet dancer. Some tap and jazz a plus. Acting and singing experience required.

LISE DASSIN (Female Identified,18-20s) - Originally from Alsace, Lise is very private with a profound inner dignity. Must be an excellent ballet dancer. Acting and singing experience required.

ADAM HOCHBERG (Male Identified, 20s) - New York born and bred, classically trained composer, walks with a cane. Excellent actor and singer. Piano experience a plus but not required. Should be comfortable with some dancing, tap a plus.

MADAME BAUREL (Female Identified, 50s) - Henri's upper middle class, comically self-righteous mother. Excellent comic timing.

HENRI BAUREL (Male Identified, 20s-30s) - Handsome child of privileged Parisians and heir to a manufacturing fortune. Secretly wants to be a song and dance man. Dance and tap required.

MILO DAVENPORT (Female Identified, 30s) - Attractive American art patron. Wealthy, bold, and tends to leap before she looks. Dance required.
