Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble
Getting Old Sucks

Pay: Stipend

Description:

At what point are you 'old'? Getting Old Sucks, a new danztheatre work devised and directed by CDE Ensemble Members, Scott Dare and Michele Stine, explores the aging process through the individual experience. A six-year-old counts the days until their seventh birthday, a 67-year-old feels the relief of putting down the pen they've been using for 40 years, and the celebration of a 40th wedding anniversary lights up the life of a family. So why do we treat those of different ages so distinctly? Uncover why the young dream of growing up and elderly long for their younger days. Watch an ensemble whose combined age of over 300 years proves you are never too old to dance.
