North Riverside Players is looking for 20+ actors ages 14 - 70 for it's fall production of Arthur Miller's classic drama The Crucible. All roles are available. This exciting drama about the Puritan purge of witchcraft in old Salem is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society. The story focuses upon a young farmer, his wife, and a young servant-girl who maliciously causes the wife's arrest for witchcraft. The farmer brings the girl to court to admit the lie. It is here that the monstrous course of bigotry and deceit is terrifyingly depicted. Directed by Jay Fontanetta.
Auditions will be held at North Riverside Scheck Village Commons, 2401 S Des Plaines Ave, North Riverside
Performances: Sept. 28, 29, 30 & Oct. 5, 6, 7
Tech week: Sept. 23-27
Rehearsals are generally held 3x per week; days determined by cast conflicts. Rehearsals will begin in early August.
Prepare a 1 minute contemporary dramatic monologue and be prepared for cold readings from the script. Please bring your conflicts calendar.
