Pride Arts Center seeks LGBTQ+ artists for WeFest. WeFest is an evening of performances (including spoken word, music, dance, poetry, monologues, stand-up comedy, burlesque, and more) celebrating queer female (both cis and trans), non-binary and other trans+ artists. WeFest will be hosted by Chicago's "Peace & Love Poet" Niki Gee! WeFest will be one evening, June 13. We are looking for 5-10 minute acts.
Audition Date: Saturday, April 21
Audition Time: 10:00am-Noon - each performer is asked to sign up for a 5-minute slot
Audition Location: The Pride Arts Center's Buena Theatre, 4147 N. Broadway
Please prepare 2-5 minutes of any kind of performance piece that shows you off best, preferably the same act, or style of act, that you would like to perform at WeFest. WeFest is a variety show that welcomes all kinds of performance art, so feel free to do anything you would like.
