Flies! The Musical! is a musical parody / adaptation of "Lord of the Flies", written by Cindy O'Connor and Larry Todd Cousineau. Synopsis: When the Lovely Valley Performing Arts Magnet High School drama department produces a teacher-written, musical production of a famous novel (that they can't use the title for), all hell breaks loose. The kids, left behind at a "research" retreat, gradually turn savage in a couple of unsupervised hours, and the plot points of the novel begin to come true one by one, in song. Eventually they are "rescued" by an astonished park ranger (who happens to also love musicals), but it's much too late for them to go back to how they were before.
