Take It Back! is a variety show where we reclaim acts that have been historically typecast and present them in a new light, featuring a more diverse cast and a more modern context. Think Oklahoma ! meets Hamilton , with a Cabaret twist. Always a Rizzo and never a Sandy? Think Sandy's sexist makeover at the end of Grease is soooo last century? Now is your chance to take back roles you have always wanted or to refresh dated roles you want to enter the 21st century.
Shows will run Sundays, 9:30 pm from November 5th-December 17th at The Annoyance. You don’t have to be available for every show, but please let us know of your conflicts.
Please prepare a song, scene, monologue, dance, juggling act, etc. that you would like to perform. Be prepared to discuss why you chose the piece you did. If you need music, please bring your own as we will not have a musical director for auditions. Group acts are encouraged.
